But when the singer arrives late and accidentally takes a double dose of tranquilizers, he passes out cold. Believing he’s dead, Saunders and the assistant hatch a plan: Max must disguise himself as Tito and perform in his place. Max pulls it off—until Tito wakes up and puts on the same costume, ready to go on stage! With two identical “Il Stupendos” running around, confused lovers, and mistaken identities galore, the madness escalates into a hilarious farce. A hit on Broadway and London’s West End, this madcap, screwball comedy is guaranteed to leave audiences teary-eyed with laughter.
